Audio: Morning Jungle Sounds

These are the sounds we wake up to every morning here, and they usually put me in a good mood.

This morning, a willy wagtail flew close and started calling out. You can hear him at about the 2.5 minute mark. The bell announcing breakfast was ready sounded shortly thereafter, at 5:50 A.M. (We had breakfast an hour earlier than normal this morning.) The friar birds can be heard in the background more after the 3 minute mark. The roosters crow at all hours of the early morning, not just to announce sunrise.

I started the recording at 5:42 A.M. It was taken in Nobnob territory, at Pat, north of Madang town in Madang province, Papua New Guinea.

You can hear evening jungle sounds at Pat here.

AWESOME & BEAUTIFUL! Both night & morning sounds. Some of the night sounds sound similar to here just more of them! Ha. Thanks for sharing!

I’m glad you liked it, Leslie. 🙂 We’re heading to the highlands next week, and probably will have new sounds to listen to.
